CRC Article 4

Your rights must actually work

Governments must make laws, budgets and complaint routes so your rights are real, not just words on paper.

How you can use it

  1. 1Name the right or service you are missing.
  2. 2Tell your caseworker or service: “I need help to access this right.”
  3. 3Keep the response or reference number. If nothing happens, ask the supervisor or a child advocate.

What a violation looks like

There is no real way to complain, no one is in charge, and nothing happens after you ask.

Words you can use

“I need help to access this right. Who will do what, and by when?”

If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
