You can request a wheelchair, communication device, personal assistance or other support needed to move safely.

How you can use it

1. 1Name the equipment or assistance you need.
2. 2Ask a doctor, disability service or caseworker for an assessment.
3. 3If refused, contact a disability advocate.

What a violation looks like

A child is denied a wheelchair, communication device or assistance needed to move.

Words you can use

“I need ______ so I can move safely and independently.”

If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
