CEDAW Article 14
Rural children should not be left out
A rural girl or mother can ask for equivalent outreach, transport and access to health, housing, education and social security.
How you can use it
- 1Name the missing service: transport, clinic, school or housing.
- 2Ask the local service and the caseworker for equivalent access.
- 3If ignored, ask an advocate to escalate it.
What a violation looks like
A rural mother gets no equivalent service because transport and outreach are missing.
Words you can use
“Please give us the same access as children in town, including transport.”
If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
