CRC Articles 1 and 2
Every right is for every child
You have these rights because you are a child and a person — not because you are quiet or easy. Unfair treatment because of who you are is not allowed.
How you can use it
- 1Write down what happened and why it felt different.
- 2Say: “I want the same protection and services as other children.”
- 3Ask for the reason in writing. If nothing changes, ask a complaints officer or child advocate.
What a violation looks like
You get fewer services or harsher rules because of race, disability, gender, culture, poverty or your family.
Words you can use
“I want the same protection and services as other children.”
If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
