CEDAW Article 10

Girls have an equal right to education

A girl can stay in school or training. Pregnancy, care or disability should bring support, not exclusion.

How you can use it

  1. 1Tell the school you want to stay enrolled.
  2. 2Ask for the support that removes the barrier.
  3. 3If excluded, complain to the education authority or an equality body.

What a violation looks like

A pregnant or care-experienced girl is pushed out of school.

Words you can use

“I want to stay in education. Please give me the support I need.”

If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
