You can ask for information you understand

You have the right to useful information about your rights and safety, in words and a format that work for you.

How you can use it

  1. 1Ask a school, library, doctor or trusted adult for reliable information.
  2. 2Say: “Please explain this in a way I can understand.”
  3. 3If harmful material is pushed on you, leave and tell a safe adult.

What a violation looks like

Nobody explains decisions, or people push scary, sexual or hateful material at you.

Words you can use
