CRC Article 18
Safe parents should get help, not only blame
Parents have responsibilities, and the State should help them. You can ask for practical support so a safe family can stay together.
How you can use it
- 1Tell a parent, carer or family-support worker what is needed.
- 2Say: “I need the adults caring for me to have help with ______.”
- 3Ask for a written support plan. If needs are still not met, ask for a review.
What a violation looks like
Authorities offer no help to safe parents and then remove a child for problems support could have fixed.
Words you can use
“Please give my family the support that would help us stay safely together.”
If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
