CRC Article 39
You have the right to recover after harm
If you have been hurt, you have the right to help recovering — health care, counselling, school, housing and family support.
How you can use it
- 1Tell a doctor, counsellor, caseworker or advocate how the harm has affected you.
- 2Say: “I want help recovering and returning safely to school or family life.”
- 3Ask for a written recovery plan and review date.
What a violation looks like
After harm, nobody offers counselling, a safe place, or a plan.
Words you can use
“I want help recovering. Please put a plan in writing.”
If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
