Level 4: Stay safe

CRC Article 34

Your body belongs to you

Nobody may touch you in a sexual way, show you sexual pictures, or make you do sexual things. You do not have to keep that secret.

How you can use it

  1. 1If this is happening now, get to a safer place and call 000 or ask a safe adult to call.
  2. 2Tell a doctor, teacher, caseworker, police officer, advocate or lawyer.
  3. 3Ask for medical care, counselling, a safe placement and a child-friendly investigation.

What a violation looks like

Someone touches your private parts, makes you watch or do sexual things, or says you will get in trouble if you tell.

Words you can use

“I do not feel safe and I need protection.”

If speaking is hard, write it, draw it, send a message, or ask a trusted adult to say it with you.
